This shirt is a 50/50 blend with a "muscle cut" and custom distressing and nicking all done by hand in the USA. This shirt is also a little longer for those of you sick of showing your underPANTS. There is a lot of meaning behind this simple looking shirt. The story of Absalom is an interesting one. Absalom murdered his brother because his brother raped his sister. This caused Absalom's father David a lot of pain and resulted in nothing less than a battle and Absalom's DEMISE. This shirt has two meanings, the first of which comes from the passage "In all Israel there was not a man so highly praised for his handsome appearance as Absalom. From the top of his head to the sole of his foot there was no blemish in him." 2 Samuel 14:25. The name "Absalom" printed across the entire chest simply represents Absalom, the Biblical character, and his self indulgence (notice the repetition of his own name?) The less obvious nature of the shirt is the distressing we have done to symbolize Absalom's bitter revenge and hatred that reveils the "blemishes" that this man did in fact have. Beauty can be decieving. The second meaning of this shirt is a much simpler one. Absalom is a Hebrew name אַבְשָׁלוֹם ('Avshalom) which meant "God is peace".
